I breastfeed my whole family – my boxer husband swears by breast milk

This family is milking it.

A mum-of-five has shared her family’s shocking approach to getting their daily dose of calcium.

Divinity Butts, 31, revealed that her husband Isaac, 32, started drinking her breast milk after a tough boxing session and now loves it.

He now adds it to his protein shakes at least three times a week.

“He wanted to see how it would help his recovery from intense workouts, and surprisingly, it has really helped!” Divinity told Caters.

“I had tried it before, but it was my husband’s first experience,” she said. “My husband is a boxer, and we both heard that breast milk sells for about $5 an ounce to bodybuilders, so we thought we’d add it to his protein and see if it helps maintain muscle.”

The family from Paterson, New Jersey, now uses breast milk for more than just shakes; they also enjoy it in milk baths and even make butter for toast as part of their unconventional lifestyle.

Divinity has been experimenting with different ways to use up her excess milk. The family especially likes to turn it into butter.

“It comes out smooth and silky, making a great addition to breakfast toast,” she explained.

After taking his first sip in August, Isaac now adds his wife’s breast milk to his shakes, insisting its high protein content has significantly benefited his training.Â

While Isaac is enthusiastic about the high protein content, Divinity mentioned that her older children use it for natural healing but don’t drink it.

“My older kids think it’s weird, but I always love how it’s a natural healer for everything, scars and all,” she said.

Despite receiving criticism online for their choices, Divinity claims he isn’t bothered. She actually wants more people to understand that this is a natural practice and encourage others to explore its uses as well.

“As for the butter, I thought if you can use the fat from heavy cream to make butter, then why not breast milk? It was all my idea!” The deity said.

“I think more people need to understand that it’s not weird, it’s natural.”
